Hop on board a real Northumberland Strait fishing boat for a scenic tour of Nova Scotia’s beautiful north shore coastline!

  • Your Discover The Strait SightSEAing experience begins as soon as you arrive at an authentic Nova Scotia fishing wharf. Take in the sights and sounds as you stroll down the dock to meet your captain on his Northumberland Strait fishing boat.
  • Before leaving the dock, your captain will provide a tour of their boat, a safety briefing, and description of the course you’re about to set sail.
  • Sit back and take in Nova Scotia’s north shore coastline peppered with sandy beaches, sea life, tree lines, quaint homes and authentic Nova Scotia villages.
  • Your captain will share local knowledge with you as you cruise the Strait’s crystal clear waters.

Location: Departs from Caribou Wharf, 119 Fisherman Road, Pictou OR Toney River Wharf, 38 Toney River Wharf Road, River John – dependent on captain

  • Cruising course may depend on the weather. You can cancel your reservation more than 72 hours ahead of your scheduled charter. If notice is received less than 72 hours prior to the charter, full charges are applicable. If the boat you have booked becomes unavailable do to crew or mechanical issues, Discover The Strait will make every effort to book you on another Discover The Strait boat. In the event that another boat cannot be booked, you will be fully refunded. Captains have the discretion to cancel an experience due to unsafe weather conditions at which time you will be fully refunded.
