Cape d’Or Stand-up Paddle

Surrounded by gorgeous cliffs, this spot on Cape d’Or offers stunning scenery and protects your paddle board adventure from the southwesterly summer winds. It provides perfect conditions to practice this fun water sport on the ocean. You will paddle in beautiful scenery and enjoy the serenity of this gorgeous cove. A gourmet picnic is provided while floating on the water.

This is a popular tour, so be sure to book in advance to reserve your seat! The tour is offered daily between July and October at different start times depending on the tides. You should bring a water bottle, which you can fill at the office, if needed. After checking in at our office in Advocate Harbour (1 hour and 20 minutes from Amherst; 40 minutes from Parrsboro; 3 hours from Halifax; 2 hours from Truro), it is roughly a 15 minute scenic drive, in your own vehicle, to the SUP launch site at Horseshoe Cove. Your guide will be waiting for you at the launch site where you’ll receive an introduction to paddle boarding. This tour is for people who are fit and confident in an ocean environment.
