The Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens and K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre on the beautiful campus of Acadia University provides a unique look at the local flora of the Acadian Forest Region.
The doors of the K.C. Irving Centre opened in September 2002, providing an exceptional entry to the botanical gardens. The gardens feature plants from nine different forest habitats as well as a formal walled garden, herbaceous bank and a pleached linden hedge, flanked by a medicinal and food garden.
Other features include carved sandstone lily pools, brook, experimental gardens, accessible pathways and benches for resting and contemplation.
